Position Overview:
Konvergense, a full-service advertising, marketing, and digital agency in Dubai, is on the lookout for a highly skilled Senior WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with WordPress, including building and maintaining websites, plugins, and themes. You will be at the forefront of creating intuitive, visually appealing, and responsive web experiences for our diverse clientele.
Responsibilities:
- Website Development: Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring high performance and availability.
- Custom Themes and Plugins: Create and modify custom themes and plugins to meet client specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Test websites across various browsers and devices to ensure consistent appearance and functionality.
- SEO Optimization: Implement SEO best practices in line with our marketing goals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers, content creators, and other developers to achieve cohesive and innovative solutions.
- Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for WordPress-related issues.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior developers, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in WordPress development.
- Proven expertise in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Experience with WordPress page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or others.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms like WooCommerce is a plus.
Skills and Other Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of current web development languages, tools, and best practices.
- Ability to work with Git or other version control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering efficient and maintainable code.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Additional Preferences:
- Certifications in WordPress or other relevant areas are beneficial.
- Knowledge of additional web technologies like React or Vue.js is a plus.
